Level of blindness: Blind in both eyes since birth. Birth defect.
Cause of eye issues: Blind in both eyes. She might be able to have surgery on her 3rd eyelid by Dr. Glickstein when she gets older. This may give her some sight since her 3rd eyelid is blocking most of both eyes right now. But surgery is an option if needed.
Health issues: Gecho is also DEAF
Weight: 12.2 pounds (and growing)

*BDRA will transport the dog a reasonable distance, to an approved adopter, at no extra cost, even if out of state.
January 27, 2011: We are working on house training skills with Gecho. She is doing very well with daily training using positive touch. She is very smart and learns fast. She loves to be held. If you think you have the perfect home for Gecho, please fill out an adoption application and we will start the process. Since she is deaf and blind, she will need an adopter that is both patient and willing to take on the necessary life commitment to train and help Gecho with all of her special needs.
