Lissi was found with her litter mates dumped in a state forest in our county. There were 9 of them and she was so much smaller than the others that we thought she might not be from the same litter. They were so mangy they didn't have any fur and it's a miracle they all survived. Once they were cured of the mange and their coats grew out they were some of the prettiest puppies we'd ever fostered.
They all looked very different from each other but they all had curly or wavy coats. We think they are an Airedale/Belgian Shepherd Mix.
Lissi does have partial vision in the eye that is open and I think I can see her other eye. The vets around here just aren't up to date enough to really check her out and since this is a farming community they really don't see it as a big issue.
We would love to find Lissi a loving home where she will get a thorough exam by a qualified vet because I think there is a chance the other eye could be opened and perhaps she could see out of it.
We will not fly Lissi. The adopter must come to my house to pick her up.
