Gorgeous Golden-mix Needs a Home
Sebastian is the perfect combination: A mix of Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees, he has beauty, brains and the wonderful temperament of a dog who adores people of all ages including children. Almost two years old, he’s house-trained, knows basic commands, and is eager to learn more. But this handsome, devoted dog is deaf. So Golden Huggs, the New England group that rescued him from a Louisiana shelter, is having a hard time finding him a forever home.
Can you help?
Sweet, smart Sebastian enjoys cuddling, playing, car rides and swimming. He learns quickly, using a pen light instead of a clicker for training. Born deaf, he’s in good health, neutered and up to date on his shots. This quiet, big boy loves cats and doesn’t seem to mind if they don’t love him back.
Sebastian has one fault that’s really not his fault: He misses social cues from other dogs. He can’t tell the difference between a bark that means, “Let’s play!” and a bark that means, “Stay away from me!” And, he’s a “Velcro dog” who always wants to be close to his person. So he’s not getting along with the dog in his foster home and is showing signs of stress. Currently living in Massachusetts, Sebastian urgently needs to find a forever home anywhere in New England.
If you or someone you know can offer this great dog a good home, please contact Laura Howe, lbhow@aol.com, (508) 450-3648, she’d be thrilled to hear from you and delighted to introduce you to Sebastian.
You can also help this beautiful boy find a forever home by posting his adoption flyer wherever dog lovers might see it.
Thank you for anything you can do to help Sebastian, and for everything you do for the animals. Each act of kindness brings us one step closer to No More Homeless Pets.
Status: Sebastian is still looking for a home as of January 23, 2012
