Prince was found on the side of the highway unable to move with some bleeding around his neck which was dried and eyes closed with bloody discharge.
The people who found him thought he was hit by a car and took him to their vet. He was treated, no sign of internal injuries, but his eyes didn't get better. Then he saw an eye specialist and it was discovered that he had been shot in the head with buckshot and has a detached retina in both eyes...he has some sight but will be blind within two weeks and his eyes need to be removed.
.
Through it all...he only wants love, rolls over for belly rubs, ear scritches, is house-broken, likes other dogs, less than 2 years old, heartworm negative and
deserves a chance.
This boy belonged to an irresponsible owner that let him wonder the highway.
Prince is around 1 1/2 hears old and a 40 lb mixed breed.
He is confident without being pushy, jumpy, or hyper and he is not shy or timid but he is friendly to everyone....thru his pain from his eyes, he constantly wagged his tail and gave kisses.
Prince had surgery to remove both eyes and was neutered on Feb. 2. He came through surgery well and will be transported to his BDRA foster home once he recovers.
