Sully

Shih Tzu / Bichon Frise Mix
Available for Adoption!

This little man is Sully and he will need a very special adopter. Sully is at least 15 years old and has some health issues but is so go-with-the-flow and is trusting and finds comfort in any gentle person that it was decided he deserved to have the chance at finding his perfect home for whatever time he has left so he can have 1:1 cuddles for the rest of his time.
Sully is gentle, quiet, loves to sleep and enjoys meal time and cuddles. He needs to be carried outside to go potty because he just doesn't look for the door, and is fairly predictable with his schedule and gives his foster mom plenty of signs to get him outside after standing up from a nap. He also wears a belly band very well, if needed.
Sully has kidney disease and, therefore, cannot be put under anesthesia to have a dental or his eyes removed but, fortunately, although his teeth are not the best, they are not the worst the vet has seen by any means. If Sully didn't have kidney issues he could have his eyes removed but his issues are managed well with long-term antibiotic drops 2-3 times per day.
He is currently on the eye drops and a very inexpensive medicine to help take the stress of his kidneys.
The best family for Sully will consist of someone who is home a lot to give him tons of attention and who can carry him outside to potty (he weighs about 15 pounds and is very good when being carried). They will also be comfortable giving him his eye drops that he takes very well and will understand that he will need more vet checks than a younger dog.
Sully is very excited to find a forever home and he hopes your home is the one for him!
Transport is available to his new home but a home that can be reached from central PA in one day would be best for this senior boy. Please ask if you are unsure about the distance.
